Learn to turn self-criticism into compassion and be the friend you need.
Hello, I'm Jolene Coe, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the social care field, licensed as a therapist for the past 6 years. Originally from the UK, I bring an international perspective to my work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, shame, perfectionism, a harsh inner critic, and the isolation that can come from appearing to have it all together.
My focus is working with adults who hold themselves to relentless standards, give a great deal to others yet rarely feel it returned, or those who want to connect with others but often feel worn out by the very interactions they crave. As an IFS therapist, I draw on CBT, ERP, and other interventions tailored to each client's needs to help you understand your patterns, build self-compassion, and find more balance in your life and relationships. I also have experience supporting clients with OCD, ADHD, trauma, grief, sleep difficulties, mood disorders, and life and role transitions.
I also work with therapists and other helping professionals, bringing both a clinical supervisor's perspective and firsthand insight into the rewards and demands of working in the field.
I view therapy as a collaborative space where you are truly welcome, not somewhere to work harder or change who you are, but somewhere to land, and to see you are already enough. A place to get to know yourself, your worth, and your value, and to take that out into the world, continuing to build a richer relationship with yourself and others.
I look forward to welcoming you and creating a space where you can feel supported and understood.
